About Robyn

Robyn took her first ballet class at Foothills Dance Conservatory under Ginny Siano-Eck in 2010 at age nine and fell in love with expression in movement.

During middle and high school, Robyn was introduced to contemporary dance and modern techniques like Graham and Limón. She had the pleasure of working with Roger C. Jeffrey, Svetlana Todinova, Tracy Vogt, and Vaughn Newman.

Robyn graduated high school in 2019 and worked as a full time customer experience manager through the 2020 pandemic. With time away from dance, due to covid, Robyn found renewed passion and direction for this art form.

In 2021, Robyn joined VND for their third season and second annual concert. The concert Anchored and Deeply Rooted contained works discussing the United States current political and social climate, preschool to prison pipeline, and a narrative work. She continued with VND for their 2022 season concert Concrete Roses.

Robyn choreographed and produced Tempest’s Edge, a dance film based on the five stages of grief, funded by the South Carolina Arts Commission 2022 Emerging Artist Grant. Her choreography Never Left (2023) was featured in her newest evening length work Composite Identity, debuted (2024) at the Etherredge Center in Aiken, SC.

Loving improvised movement for its honesty, Robyn continues to explore vulnerability in her day to day practice. She studies embodied humanity at the Limón Institute (2023-24) under Daniel Fetecua and others, and is looking forward to new creative projects on the horizon.

I am a dreamer. I see the possibilities.

I am a problem-solver. I see needs and discover how to renew or amend them.

I am a creator of environments that foster artistic exploration.

I am an advocate for personal growth. I facilitate the actualizing of others development as people and artists.

I am a leader and director.

I am a dancer. Choreographer. And visionary.

I create a reflection of me - my emotions, journeys, aesthetic, and life experiences.
